In this recent blog post, we referred to an excellent article on how to deploy a highly-available IBM MQ and IIB environment on PureApplication. We though it would be helpful to point out some of the known limitations in the MQ 8.0.0.4 pattern.
One of the most relevant limitations is that on PureApplication 2.1.2.0 and higher, the MQ 8.0.0.4 pattern always installs MQ 8.0.0.2 (even if you chose MQ 8.0.0.4). This is a known problem, APAR IT15252 has been provided by IBM to address this (and a fix is available from IBM Fix Central).
IBM also published a Readme for IBM MQ V8.0 and its maintenance, which highlights a number of additional limitations and best practices for the MQ 8.0.0.4 pattern on PureApplication. We highly recommend going through these as this could save valuable troubleshooting time.
